Job Summary:

Seeking a Mechanical Tool Designer with strong experience in industrial/manufacturing automation to design automated machinery, tooling, fixtures, material handling systems, and special-purpose machines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design automation systems, conveyors, material handling, transfer mechanisms, and SPMs.
• Design jigs, fixtures, tooling, and pick-and-place systems using pneumatic, servo, and robotic technologies.
• Develop high-speed automation lines and integrate robots, sensors, bowl feeders, and standard components.
• Create detailed drawings, assemblies, and BOMs using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Perform mechanical calculations involving forces, speeds, horsepower, pressure, temperature, and strength of materials.
• Select mechanical components such as LM guides, servo motors, sensors, and actuators.
• Review designs for OSHA, CE, and customer-specific standards.
• Work with electrical, controls, fabrication, machining, and toolroom teams during debug and machine integration.
• Coordinate with vendors, customers, onsite/offshore teams, and project stakeholders.
• Lead or coordinate a 10 12-member design team when required.
