Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced engineer to develop methodologies for characterizing the mechanical and thermal performance of battery materials, components, and cells.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop test methodologies to characterize mechanical and thermal performance of battery materials, components, and cells
- Design test protocols and standards for battery-level performance evaluation
- Work with 3rd party labs to address testing gaps and bring up to testing methods
- Collaborate with testing technicians to ensure proper execution of test plans
- Analyze and report on test results to inform engineering decisions
Qualifications:
- MS in Mechanical Eng or related with 3 years experience or BS with 5+ years
- Demonstrated experience developing methodologies for mechanical and thermal characterization of battery materials/components/cells
- Strong background in battery testing standards and best practices
