Location: Blackman Twp, MI
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday : 7:30AM - 4:30PM

Responsibilities:

  • Review project instructions and blueprints to ascertain test specifications, procedures, objectives, and test equipment.
  • Perform testing in accordance with test specifications, including test setup, test equipment adjustment, and sample and data storage.
  • Draft detailed drawings or sketches as necessary for the fabrication of equipment or setup components.
  • Devise, fabricate, and assemble new or modified mechanical components or assemblies for products such as industrial equipment and machinery, power equipment, servo systems, machine tools, and measuring instruments.
  • Set up and conduct tests of hydraulic components to evaluate product performance toward support of customer requirements.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma.
  • Minimum of two years of equivalent experience or 4 years of experience working in a technical/laboratory setting without a degree or certification.
  • Knowledge of test equipment operation, machine hydraulics, data acquisition, and inspection equipment.
  • A high degree of mechanical aptitude.
  • A broad knowledge of test machines and instruments.
  • General knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Print reading and dimensional inspection capability.
  • Effective use of current technology and the learning and application of new technology.
  • Basic mathematics, graph reading, and calculations are required.
  • Must be able to lift 30 pounds.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with PC-based control systems.
  • Prior knowledge with measurement/data acquisition systems, instrumentation wiring, and documentation.
