Mechanical Technician II

Remove finished parts from machines, clean and post-process as required, being careful to protect or highlight key features. Load and unload materials, check machine status, and launch jobs at regular intervals to ensure delivery commitments are made.

Description: 5 days a week Onsite, Sunnyvale CA
Associates or Bachelors preferred; not required if equivalent shop experience demonstrated
1-2 years minimum, 3-5 preference

Responsibilties:

• Efficiently program parts using templated CAM programs in Fusion 360
• Load and unload materials, check machine status, and launch jobs at regular intervals to ensure delivery commitments are made.
• Remove finished parts from machines, clean and post-process as required, being careful to protect or highlight key features.
• Make updates in task management platform to keep requesters apprised of job status.
• Using existing SOPs, maintain equipment and ensure all tools and materials needed are on hand to ensure continuous production.

Must to have skills

• Experience with CAD/CAM software (Fusion 360 or equivalent)
• 2 CNC machine operation -- hobby or commercial grade
• 3 Ability to read and interpret 2D/3D digital design files

Nice-to-have Skills

• Experience in a prototyping shop environment 
• Post-processing skills (deburring, sanding, abrasive blasting) 
• SolidWorks, Mastercam, or Rhino familiarity
