Tasks and Responsibilities Assists mechanical engineers in the planning and testing of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery, such as engines, instruments, controls, robots, machines, etc. Team player; exhibits effective teamwork when working with persons over whom the person may have no direct authority, and willingness to assist others.

Scope
Technicians are assigned to carry out maintenance work.
Tasks and Responsibilities

• Assists mechanical engineers in the planning and testing of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery, such as engines, instruments, controls, robots, machines, etc.
• Helps prepare proposals and cost estimates
• Actively participates in the use of all on-the-job safety tools
• Reviews job packs
• Identifies any safety issues associated with the job and ensures removal/mitigation prior to working
• Executes work as planned
• Records technical history as required by the workgroup (Global Reliability Tool (GRT), data sheet, etc.)
• Provides feedback on job pack improvements to Execution FLS
• Requests permits and notifies Supervisor if a permit cannot be issued within 30 minutes of requested time

Mechanic Duties

• VRU PMs and maintenance
• Ariel JGC/4, JGT/4, and KBZ/6 compressor PM and maintenance
• H-pump, LACT, and SWD pump maintenance
• Cat 3616 and Cat 3516 A4 PM and maintenance
• Ingersoll Rand, Atlas Copco, Quincy, Sullair, and Saylor-Beall air compressor PM and maintenance
• All mechanics are responsible for all of the above when responding to field needs
• Cross-training will be provided in the field

Skills and Qualifications

• Discipline-appropriate certification(s) if applicable, or equivalent professional experience
• Strong communication skills; ability to clearly and concisely describe conditions in the field and recommend remediation steps
• Team player; exhibits effective teamwork when working with persons over whom the person may have no direct authority, and willingness to assist others
• Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
