Mechanical Technician - Entry Level

Job Summary

Provide technical support to national accounts, distributors, and end users. Deliver hands-on technical solutions that meet clients' requirements. Responsible for maintenance and repairs on various electromechanical packaging and dispensing equipment. Ensure customer problems and incidents are resolved to their satisfaction and in compliance with Service Agreements.

This position is based in Bristol, IN, a vibrant community known for its rich history and welcoming atmosphere. Bristol offers a blend of small-town charm and access to larger metropolitan amenities, making it an ideal place to work and live.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site installations, repairs, maintenance, service tasks, and conduct product demonstrations as required.
• Provide maintenance support and training to in-house maintenance staff.
• Build relationships with back-of-house contacts and gather feedback.
• Provide technical guidance and expertise where applicable.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School degree plus an Associate degree in a technology field, such as mechanical, electrical, electronics, or equivalent experience.
• Broad knowledge of mechanical hand tools and principles.
• Skilled in the use of PC applications, including Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
• Ability to use iPads to complete work orders, send/receive emails, attend team calls, etc.
• Ability to present technical concepts to non-technical individuals.
• Ability to understand technical diagrams and manuals.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with minimal direction.
• Adaptive to change and tight deadlines.
• Must be able to work independently with little supervision.
• Good customer service and organizational skills are necessary.
• Ability to reason, communicate, make cognitive decisions, audit data, research, understand deadlines and timelines, and provide accurate results.
• Position may include a company-owned or leased vehicle; must hold a valid state driver's license and have a good driving record.
• Flexibility to work extended hours during the workweek and have open availability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Must have the ability to lift 60 lbs. or less, carrying and lifting tools and parts weighing up to 20 lbs.
• Must be able to bend, squat, walk, stand, and/or sit for prolonged periods and carry 50 lbs. up 4 flights of stairs.
• May be required to push and pull a cart with equipment weighing up to 60 lbs.
