The Mechanical Technician supports the manufacturing for the fabrication, assembly, testing, and shipment of custom mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems and components. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, has a strong mechanical aptitude, and wants to apply their skills in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing environment.
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Provide a strong hands-on ability to layout, assemble, fabricate, process, and ship custom assemblies
Read, understand, mark-up and process schematics, drawings, bills of material, quality sheets, and shipping documentation
Set-up and operate band saws, belt sanders, drill presses, magnetic drill press, iron worker, steam pressure washer, forklifts, overhead cranes, and company vehicles
Mechanical assembly and related mounting of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic components
Continuously improve knowledge of product types, operation, applications, and model codes while assisting other associates in their continuous improvement
Continuously improve knowledge of fabrication & assembly processes, procedures, and practices while assisting other associates in their continuous improvement
Maintain and promote a positive relationship and teamwork with other employees
Maintain and promote a safe work environment
Preventive maintenance as required to maintain efficient productivity

Required
High School Diploma or GED
Good mechanical aptitude
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Dependable with good attendance
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
Strong attention to detail
Ability to read a tape measure to within 1/16"
Ability to safely use hand and power tools (or willingness to learn)
Experience in Microsoft products (Ex. Outlook, Teams)
Preferred (Not Required)
Experience in any of the following is helpful butnot required:
Manufacturing
Fabrication
Mechanical assembly
Training Provided
The successful candidate will receive on-the-job training in:
Shop safety practices
Forklift operation and certification
Material handling
Assembly support
Operating the router saw for aluminum profile to assist other team members and provide backup when they are out
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to stand and work on your feet for extended periods
Ability to work safely around industrial machinery
Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment
