MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN-ASSEMBLY SUMMARY: This position is responsible for assembling, installing, and maintaining mechanical systems and equipment throughout the sportfishing boat construction and production process. REQUIREMENTS: - Previous marine mechanical experience is preferred.
- Candidates with experience in automotive, diesel mechanics, industrial maintenance, mechanical assembly, or other related skilled trades are encouraged to apply.
- Reading and interpreting work orders, technical drawings, diagrams, and manufacturer specifications to ensure proper installation, testing, and operation of mechanical systems in accordance with company quality standards.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and knowledge of marine mechanical systems and installation practices.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Include the following. Other duties may be assigned. - Installing engines, propulsion systems, steering systems, fuel systems, plumbing, pumps, and other mechanical components.
- Using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
- Demonstrate dependable attendance.
- Maintain high standards of quality workmanship.
- Work cooperatively with other assembly personnel to meet production schedules.
- Follow established safety procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
