Qualified candidates may be eligible for relocation assistance.ASRC Federal System Solutions (AFSS) is hiring Mechanical Spacecraft Technicians at the Associate, Mid-Level, and Senior levels to support NASA's Orion Program at Kennedy Space Center, Florida.Whether you're an experienced aerospace professional or an early-career technician looking to launch your career, you'll play a critical role in assembling, integrating, testing, and maintaining the spacecraft that will carry astronauts to the Moon and beyond.Location: Kennedy Space Center, FLWhat You'll Do

    Assemble, integrate, and test spacecraft mechanical systems and hardware.Perform mechanical and electro-mechanical assembly tasks supporting production, development, and prototype hardware.Fabricate, install, and maintain mechanical components and assemblies.Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, blueprints, and work instructions.Use standard mechanical assembly tools, precision measuring devices, and fabrication equipment.Perform troubleshooting, modifications, rework, repairs, and quality testing.Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure mission success.Maintain accurate production documentation while adhering to safety and quality standards.

    Qualifications

    High school diploma or equivalent with specialized technical training, technical associate degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Experience requirements vary by level:

    Associate: 0-2 yearsMid-Level: 3-5 yearsSenior: 5+ years

    Experience in aerospace, aviation, manufacturing, mechanical assembly, fabrication, maintenance, or a related technical field.Strong mechanical aptitude and experience using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.Experience with fabrication, assembly, or installation of mechanical systems is a plus.Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License is a plus.U.S. Citizenship required.Must be able to successfully complete a government background investigation and pre-employment drug screening.
