EXPERIENCE:
- Degree in technical field (BSME/ BSIE preferred) or equivalent
- 3-5 years experience
- Strong manufacturing processes knowledge of, machined materials, ferrous castings, Fabrication and Welding
- MS Office Suite proficiency required
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leading global strategic sourcing initiatives
- Develop and execute on a comprehensive Asia Supply chain initiative targeting lowering material costs
- Partner with the Asian sourcing teams to identify optimal global sourcing needs
- Conduct market research and analysis to help identify new supply chain opportunities
- Lead supplier identification, evaluation, selection, and relationship management activities
- Establish and maintain strong partnerships with key suppliers to ensure the highest quality, competitive pricing, and timely delivery of components and products
- Negotiate favorable terms, conditions, and pricing with suppliers
- Implement cost reduction initiatives and continuously monitor market dynamics to capitalize on cost-saving opportunities within categories in scope without compromising quality
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Product Development, and Operations, to understand their requirements and ensure alignment between procurement and business objectives
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for suppliers, evaluate their performance regularly, and work collaboratively to address any performance issues
- Actively participate in helping to build a high-performing team of procurement professionals
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities to team members
