Job Details
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Mechanical Project Managers in Texas. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of mechanical project management, from initial design and planning through to final implementation and delivery. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to work on a variety of challenging commercial projects, leveraging their technical expertise and leadership skills to drive project success.
Responsibilities
1. Oversee all stages of project life cycle, including conception, design, procurement, scheduling, execution, and delivery.
2. Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring all activities align with financial objectives and constraints.
3. Negotiate and manage contracts and change orders, ensuring optimal pricing and terms.
4. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, maintaining open communication channels and managing expectations effectively.
5. Ensure all project activities adhere to corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, and regulations.
6. Use advanced MS Office skills and other software systems to track project progress, maintain records, and generate reports.
7. Manage project risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies and solutions as necessary.
8. Maintain a professional, courteous, and diplomatic demeanor in stressful situations, demonstrating strong conflict resolution skills.
The ideal candidate will possess:
1. A 4-year degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Science, or equivalent levels of technical training and related experience.
2. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in project management, with a focus on mechanical engineering and construction.
3. Expertise in procurement, scheduling, change order pricing, and contract negotiation.
4. A thorough understanding of construction design, finance, and management.
5. An OSHA-30 certification.
6. Proficiency in MS Office and the ability/drive to learn new software systems.
7. Experience in managing commercial projects and budgets.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to maintain professionalism in stressful situations.
