MECHANICAL PROJECT ENGINEER NEEDED - MORGANTOWN, KENTUCKY or LOUDON, TENNESSEE

A Leading Manufacturing Company needs a Mechanical Project Engineer. This Position can be based out of the Clients Morgantown, Kentucky or Loudon, Tennessee Plant. A Bachelor's Degree preferably in Engineering is Required for this Position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• As our Mechanical Project Engineer, you will use your knowledge of Project Management to plan and implement key capital projects, drive technology improvements, and provide engineering solutions that deliver productivity and improve operations within the business unit.  

• To successfully implement Capital Projects, our Mechanical Project Engineers must effectively build partnerships with and communicate project expectations to all levels of the organization including Team Members, Contractors, and Stakeholders.  

• This Mechanical Engineering role breaks down to 60% Project Engineering / Project Management, 20% Plant Support, and 20% Mechanical Systems Design. 

• Heavy Industrial or manufacturing experience is strongly preferred.

• This Mechanical Engineer Position will service the Clients Facility in Morgantown, Kentucky and provide Mechanical Project Engineering support to other Regional Locations, including Loudon, Tennessee, Steele, Alabama and Friendly, West Virginia. Travel up to 30% will be required for this Position. 
   

 EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: 

• A Bachelor s Degree is Required for this Position.

• Some Travel and Overtime may be Required.

• 3+ years of related industrial experience, including planning, specification, and implementation of engineering design projects.  This is experience beyond school related projects.

• Strong technical and process management skills are required in this position, with ability to work multiple projects simultaneously.

• Must possess strong decision making and problem-solving skills including the ability to solve problems while exhibiting practical judgment and realistic understanding of the issues involved.

• PMI / PMP Certification is a plus.

• Preferred Software:  Inventor, Auto CAD

• Knowledgeable in structural design, federal regulations, and standards.  OSHA, ANSI, NFPA, etc.

• Working knowledge of industrial mechanical systems (pneumatics, hydraulics, combustion, etc.)

• Field experience in heavy industrial environment

• Working knowledge of aluminum and/or recycling processes is a plus.
