Position: Mechanical Project and Facility Engineer

Salary Range: $70K-$90K 

Summary Of Job: 

The mechanical engineer shall provide trouble shooting support for all plant manufacturing and facility equipment.  They also recommend new equipment and manage projects needed to improve safety, manufacturing and reliability throughout the plant.  They also perform administrative  duties in the department.       

Job Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities: 

  • At least 3-10yrs experience working in an engineering role in a plant 
  • Project management experience in an industrial environment 
  • Maintenance troubleshooting experience in an industrial environment
  • Solid grasp of engineering fundamentals relating to mechanical design & systems
  • Demonstrated experience with trouble shooting industrial equipment, pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, HVAC systems 
  • Experience working on load cells systems, PLC’s, NG fired burner systems 
  • Preventative & predictive maintenance principles and systems 
  • Tire Cord and/or Carpet Manufacturing processes (Not required) 
  • Experience with industrial Safety systems (OSHA 1910) 

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering 
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PP, Project, etc.)
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Predictive maintenance tools such as IR scanners and vibration analyzers 
  • AutoCAD drafting systems & SolidWorks 
  • Able to read and understand Electrical, Mechanical, Pneumatic, Hydraulic & Structural engineering drawings.
  • Support and drive plantwide predictive maintenance programs 
  • Support and manage capital improvement projects 
  • Assist in managing maintenance activities in the plant 
  • Work with Plant Safety Steering Committee and production department to insure a safe workplace 
  • Assist in troubleshooting equipment and conducting root cause analysis 
  • Assist in maintaining spare parts and supply room inventory 
  • Ensure required training is scheduled and performed
  • Help maintain plant ISO QMS and EMS certifications and conduct internal audits 
  • Manage outside contractors performance to the successful completion of engineering and maintenance projects
  • Attend team meetings as required
  • Maintain and manage engineering and maintenance records
  • Weekly payroll and other administrative duties as assigned 
  • Performs other duties as required.
