Mechanical Product Engineer

70+ year-old (and growing!) engineering & manufacturing company has an immediate opening for a Mechanical Engineer with product development experience. Direct-hire position with outstanding benefits – includes a very generous 401K match, profit sharing, PTO, health/dental, and more!

Duties:

• Contribute to the design and development of new and existing power transmission/automation products
• Create 3D models of machined parts using Solidworks
• Prepare statics and strength of materials calculations
• Review and approve engineering drawings and other engineering documentation needed for manufacturing prototypes
• Provide technical support to Sales/Marketing, Production, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Quality Control
• Conduct product prototype tests – including creating test plans and setups
• Maintain expertise with competitive products, includes technologies related to automation/motion control
• Conduct peer design reviews
• Perform design optimization studies

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline (Mechanical Engineering a big plus)
• 4+ years of product development experience
• 3D modeling experience (Solidworks a plus)
• Strong experience designing machined components
• Statics & Strength of Materials experience
• Experience working with an ERP system
• Ability to pass a background check

Salary: $95-105K
