Mechanical Pipe Preconstruction Manager

Brasfield & Gorrie has an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Pipe Preconstruction Manager to assist with mechanical pipe self-perform pursuits across multiple divisions within our Heavy Civil market sectors. Responsibilities and Essential Duties include the following (other duties may be assigned): Estimate construction costs for below grade and/or above grade mechanical pipe scopes.

Brasfield & Gorrie has an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Pipe Preconstruction Manager to assist with mechanical pipe self-perform pursuits across multiple divisions within our Heavy Civil market sectors. 

Responsibilities and Essential Duties include the following (other duties may be assigned):

• Estimate construction costs for below grade and/or above grade mechanical pipe scopes.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for material and equipment for process piping systems and associated process equipment.
• Develop labor, material, equipment and subcontractor costs using historical data, industry trend and estimating software.
• Review plans, specifications, proposals and P&IDs to fully understand project scope, requirements and conditions.
• Solicit and review pricing for materials, equipment and specialized subcontractors
• Assist in the preparation of thorough, clearly structured, and detailed estimates and proposals for presentation to management, clients, and other stakeholders.
• Knowledge of piping systems, construction practices, and industry standards

Education - Skills - Knowledge - Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor degree in construction, engineering, or related field; Or acceptable construction experience
• 3-10 years experience managing or estimating below grade and/or above grade mechanical pipe scopes.
• Experience in managing the construction or estimating construction costs for below grade and/or above grade mechanical pipe scopes.
• Knowledge of piping systems, construction practices, and industry standards
• Exceptional mathematical and analytical abilities
• Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills
• Technical writing skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize resources
• Superior organizational skills and attention to detail
• Self-perform production knowledge
• Quantity survey experience
• Proficient knowledge of estimating software
• Experience representing company with industry and community organizations
