Position Summary: Mechanical Manufacturing Technician I - 2nd Shift
- Entry-level manufacturing position with no certification required.
- Learns and trains on calibration-specific operations under supervision.
- Assists in preparing and assembling components into final or sub-assemblies under direct supervision of a certified calibrator.
- Sets up and operates production equipment to ensure flow, spray angle, and product quality meet specifications and tolerance requirements.
- Expected to follow established work instructions and work toward certification within 120 days.
Responsibilities: Mechanical Manufacturing Technician I - 2nd Shift
- Learn to set up and operate test stands to evaluate nozzles, spray bars, and valves for spray quality, angle, and flow.
- Learn to set up and operate laser marking and printing equipment according to procedures and specifications.
- Record spray parameters by serial number.
- Learn to certify product conformance through testing and performance records.
- May learn to disassemble, repair, and assemble products according to specifications.
- Complete production documentation and labor transactions accurately.
- Follow EHS, Quality, and Continuous Improvement requirements.
- Work under immediate supervision and follow detailed instructions.
- Participate in continuous improvement and safety activities.
- Perform additional assigned duties, including overtime and extended shifts as required.
Required Qualifications: Mechanical Manufacturing Technician I - 2nd Shift
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- No prior experience required.
- Must be a U.S. Person.
- Willingness to work nonstandard hours.
- Ability to work overtime, extended shifts, and some holidays based on business needs.
Preferred Qualifications: Mechanical Manufacturing Technician I - 2nd Shift
- Manufacturing background preferred.
- Manual dexterity for assembly and calibration tasks.
- Ability to learn to read and understand prints.
- Basic computer proficiency, including email, printing documents, and internet use.
- Ability to learn computer systems used to access prints and work instructions.
- Basic shop math skills, including geometric tolerances.
- Basic problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Ability to learn core job functions within the first three months.
- Effective communication skills with employees and management.
Clearance Requirements: Mechanical Manufacturing Technician I - 2nd Shift
- Position is considered safety-sensitive under FAA guidelines.
- Subject to FAA-required drug and alcohol testing.
