    Mechanical Maintenance Technician

    Location: High Point, NC

    Position Type: Direct Hire

    Shift Options:

    1. Day Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
    2. Swing Shift (12-hour rotating shift):
      • Days: Work Monday, Tuesday / Off Wednesday, Thursday / Work Friday, Saturday, Sunday
      • Nights: Off Monday, Tuesday / Work Wednesday, Thursday / Off Friday, Saturday, Sunday

    Compensation:

    • Day Shift: $26.38 per hour
    • Swing Shift: $28 - $30 per hour (Possibly up to $31 per hour)

    Seeking top talent to join our team as Mechanical Maintenance Technicians in High Point, NC. 

    Key Qualifying Skills:

    • Certified Mechanic trade ticket or a 2-year degree in mechanical studies combined with related experience
    • 3+ years of industrial mechanic experience, including bearings, hydraulics, pumps, and gearboxes
    • Welding and fabrication skills
    • Proficiency in using mechanical troubleshooting equipment and techniques (e.g., laser alignment)
    • Experience in reliability techniques and knowledge of lubrication principles is an asset
    • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work extended hours and rotating shifts
    • Ability to work at heights in a manufacturing environment

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Respond to mill breakdowns promptly and efficiently, collaborating closely with area operators to resolve maintenance-related issues
    • Investigate the root cause of equipment failure and make recommendations for long-term fixes
    • Assist in the development of preventive maintenance plans
    • Lead troubleshooting efforts and maintain proper documentation of maintenance-related items
    • Follow up on outstanding maintenance issues from previous shifts and enter work requests for necessary follow-up tasks
    • Provide recommendations for continuous improvement of troubleshooting resources
    • Install, manufacture, and calibrate equipment or machinery
    • Maintain lockout certifications as assigned
    • Perform other duties as assigned
