Its Distilling Solutions segment provides bourbons, whiskeys, ryes, gins, and vodkas to craft and multinational brands. MGP's own Branded Spirts business is growing following the 2021 acquisition of Luxco, a top spirits producer, bottler, supplier, and importer as well as the 2023 acquisition of Penelope Bourbon, known for its wide range of uniquely blended expressions. Ingredient Solutions delivers nutritional, functional wheat- and pea-based ingredients aligned with consumer trends. The company operates in locations across the Midwestern U.S., and overseas in Northern Ireland and Mexico.

    THE OPPORTUNITY:

    We are seeking a fulltime Mechanical Maintenance Journeymen. We are looking for detail oriented, quality minded candidates to join our team. The production plant operates 24 hours per day - 7 days per week. Mechanical Maintenance Journeymen work 8 hours shifts and are onsite 24/7 to support production.

    The hourly pay rate will start at $30.26 hr. and then it goes up to $33.32 hr.

    Shift Schedule:

    • Monday & Tuesday: 11:45pm - 7:45am
    • Friday through Sunday: 11:45pm - 7:45am

    WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

    • Performing preventative maintenance on critical pieces of equipment to ensure reliability and minimize equipment downtime.
    • Repairing untimed failures of machinery in an efficient and safe manner.
    • Completing lube routes throughout facility.
    • Collaborating interdepartmentally with other trades to complete troubleshooting of machinery issues.
    • Completing weekly planned work schedule while also supporting engineering installation of new equipment throughout the plant.

    WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

    • Welding, Greasing, Hydraulic repairs
    • Strong mathematical skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Ability to work independently when necessary
    • Ability to operate in a team environment. Works well with others.
    • Strong verbal & written communication skills. Ability to interpret and follow written and verbal instructions.
    • Ability to work with minimal supervision and troubleshoot issues.
    • Ability to climb and work in high places and/or from ladders.
    • Ability to work in confined spaces.
    • Work overtime as required.
    • This role requires a passing score on a mechanical ability test and mechanical journeyman test.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Lifting up to 50 lbs to shoulder height occasionally.
    • Physical mobility: extensive walking, climbing, stairs, kneeling, stooping, sitting up to 100% of working hours.
    • Occasionally needs to stand for long periods, up to 6 hours standing for extended periods.
    • Physical dexterity: telephone, computer, electronic equipment, tools, machinery. Use of phone, fax, computer, and mechanical tools that require precision (welding, cutting, wrenches, lathes, etc.)
    • Sensory requirements: hearing, listening, smelling, touching, speaking, tasting, seeing, distinguishing colors up to 100% of working hours.
    • Stationary working at a computer terminal or keyboard up to 6 hours per day.
    • May be exposed to high heat and cold up to 100% of working hours.
