Position Summary
Seeking a Mechanical Inspector to oversee construction activities at a compressor station facility (brownfield/greenfield). The Inspector will ensure mechanical construction and installation work meets client specifications, applicable codes, and industry standards. Upon completion of this project, the inspector may roll over to a subsequent project location.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and inspect mechanical construction activities at the compressor station site, including piping, equipment installation, and welding
- Verify work complies with project specifications, applicable codes (ASME, API, etc.), and quality standards
- Review mechanical drawings, isometrics, and specifications for compliance
- Document daily inspection activities, non-conformances, and quality issues
- Coordinate with construction crews, project management, and quality personnel to resolve field issues
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations and site-specific safety plans
Qualifications
- Prior experience as a Mechanical Inspector on compressor station, pipeline, or midstream infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, piping, and equipment installation practices
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, isometrics, and technical specifications
- Relevant certifications preferred (e.g., CWI, API 570/510, or equivalent)
- Willingness to relocate to the next project site upon completion
- Strong communication and documentation skills
