Mechanical Inspector
Location: Chesapeake, VA
Shift: Monday - Friday, 6 AM- 2:30 PM or Monday - Friday, 6 AM - 4 PM (Overtime Expected)

Our client is one of the largest independently owned motor and pump shops in the U.S. that focuses on rebuilding and remanufacturing rotating electrical and mechanical equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for independent peer inspections.
- Verify as-found component drawings for manufacturing.
- Create minor sketch drawings of components, such as bushings, sleeves, and shaft keys.
- Accurately complete required paperwork.
- Perform various tasks for the machine shop when not carrying out inspections.

- Minimum of 2 years of using mechanical measurement tools such as micrometers, scales, vernier/dial calipers, etc..
- Experience working in a manufacturing/industrial environemnent
- Ability to read, interpret, and work from drawings, blueprints, and sketches.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
- Must be able to meet physical requirements for position, including but not limited to ability to be on feet for an extended period, bend/stoop/kneel as needed, use of both hands, and ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
