Description:
ColonialWebb is hiring an experienced commercial Foremen to provide field leadership and technical support for our Special Projects team. As a Foreman, you will direct the day-to-day work activities of plumbing/pipefitter mechanics and helpers, ensuring projects are completed safely and in accordance with budget and quality standards.

A day in the life:
Maintain strict adherence to all company safety rules, regulations, procedures and practices
Supervise day-to-day tasks of teammates; maintain the quality of work of teammates
Monitor and control manpower and tools to ensure efficient and effective use of resources; establish and adjust work sequences to meet construction schedules, using knowledge and capacities of equipment and assigned personnel
Provide oversight of all inventory activities on a specific job site
Inspect work in process and completed work to ensure conformance to specifications
Ensure that all services are performed in accordance with company policies
Schedule material and equipment deliveries as well as subcontractors and start-up manpower to maintain a project schedule for the job site
Develop plans and steps to correct customer issues and ensure future success with customers
Perform duties of an HVAC Technician as described separately
Implement safety policies and monitor safety compliance; attend safety and accident review meetings in an effort to continuously enhance current safety policies and employee practicesÂ
Interpret specifications blueprints, and job orders as needed for the area of installationÂ
Teach, coach and guide teammates to ensure that they work safely and productively
Train new teammates in safe use of equipment and tools
Motivate and inspire teammates; provide coaching and feedback for professional development
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
You should have:
Possess extensive knowledge in handling personnel issues
Possess excellent mechanical, administrative and analytical skills
Possess OSHA 30-hour certification and knowledge of BOCA and OSHA safety regulations
Ability to work within precise limits or standards of accuracy
Ability to work from drawings, submittals and specifications
Ability to make decisions with information on hand
Demonstrate knowledge of basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and fractions)
Possess extensive knowledge of International Codes along with general HVAC and plumbing systems
Ability to communicate and deal effectively with teammates in other trades
Ability to work easily and skillfully with hands
Ability to maintain a positive attitude and willing to work in a team environment
Ability to work independently without direct supervision
Ability to maintain a sense of urgency and remain calm when working toward deadlines
