Description

Lead the Build: Mechanical Field Superintendent

Step onto complex industrial jobsites and set the pace for excellence. As the Mechanical Field Superintendent, you will steer mechanical field operations on large industrial and heavy commercial projects—hands-on when it matters most and always accountable for safety, quality, and schedule. You will direct process and utility piping (air, water, steam, chilled water), heavy machinery and equipment setting, rigging coordination, structural interfaces, and final commissioning—while mentoring crews and removing roadblocks to execution.

A Day in the Life

Sunrise tailgate meeting. You brief the team, confirm permits, review the lift plan, and walk the workfront. By mid-morning, you’re aligning a pump, verifying tolerances on a gearbox, and coordinating a crane pick while staging materials for the afternoon process piping tie-in. After lunch, you’re troubleshooting a conveyor level issue, signing off on a rigging plan, reviewing a change order with the PM, and updating production quantities. The shift closes with a safety walk-through and housekeeping check, ensuring tomorrow starts clean and controlled.
