Mechanical Fabrication & Pipefitting Specialist (Water Treatment)

Help build mission-critical water treatment systems

Direct-hire role with a respected manufacturer at 4545 Patent Rd, Norfolk, VA 23502. Schedule: Mon–Fri, 6:00 AM–3:00 PM. Pay: $20–$26/hour depending on experience.

Impact you’ll make

• Assemble and fabricate precision parts and full subassemblies for specialized industrial water treatment equipment.
• Ensure quality, safety, and on-time delivery across shop and occasional field assignments.

Core responsibilities

• Operate fabrication machinery: drill presses, belt sanders, band saws, bench grinders, ironworkers.
• Safely handle materials with forklifts and scissor lifts.
• Pipe-fit and assemble systems with PVC, CPVC, fiberglass, and stainless steel.
• Follow all safety protocols; perform confined-space entry, including tanks with 14×18" manways.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area; practice strong housekeeping standards.
• Travel as needed for field installations and repairs.
• Complete required records and reports accurately and on time.

What you bring

• Proficiency with fabrication tools and shop equipment; prior experience as a fabricator and/or pipefitter.
• Comfort working from drawings, work instructions, and build lists.
• Strong safety mindset and knowledge of confined-space practices.
• Teamwork, communication skills, and reliability in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail in recordkeeping and documentation.
