We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Mechanical Estimator, Sr. Mechanical Estimator, and Preconstruction Manager for one of our clients in the Denver Metro Area. These are permanent positions that offer the opportunity to work on exciting mechanical construction projects.
As a Mechanical Estimator, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Soliciting, evaluating, and preparing bid proposals in the most attractive manner to general contractors and owners.
2. Reading and understanding drawings, specifications, and bid documents to accurately compile a summary of materials, equipment, and labor costs.
3. Managing multiple, simultaneous projects, ensuring that all deadlines are met and that all work is completed to the highest standard.
4. Collaborating with other team members to ensure that all project requirements are met and that all work is completed on schedule.
5. Utilizing Quickpen / Autobid software to create detailed and accurate project estimates.
6. Using Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, and Bluebeam to communicate with team members, track project progress, and create detailed reports.
The ideal candidate for the Mechanical Estimator position will possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
2. Proven experience managing multiple, simultaneous projects.
3. Strong skills in reading and understanding drawings, specifications, and bid documents.
4. Ability to accurately compile a summary of materials, equipment, and labor costs.
5. Understanding of construction field conditions, means and methods, and project schedules.
6. Experience with Quickpen / Autobid software is preferred.
7. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams, and Bluebeam is preferred.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
9. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
11. Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
