Description
Our Client, a Global Power Technology Leader company, is looking for a Mechanical Engineering Technician for their Troy, MI location.
Responsibilities:
Install and remove parts / components pertaining to medium and heavy-duty trucks and trailers
Monitor basic tests and record observations or issues.
Operate basic lab equipment such as parts washer, power washer, truck hoist, trailer jack, in-ground scales
Work safely in compliance with client safety guidelines.
Maintain orderly work area in accordance with Meritor standards.
Requirements:
Technical degree or equivalent work experience.
Familiarity with mechanical systems and/or automotive background.
Proficient with personal computers, Microsoft Excel/Word.
Mechanical ability.
Blueprint reading.
Understanding of measurement techniques (torque wrenches, dial indicators).
Able to communicate effectively with customers.
Willingness to learn new skills
To possess or willing to obtain a CDL.
To possess or willing to obtain necessary hand tools to perform the at hand tasks (Standard and Metric sockets and wrenches up to 1”/24MM, rachets, pliers, prybars, allen wrenches, screw drivers, ECT).
