What You'll Do
In this role, you'll be responsible for the full lifecycle of machinery design/management, from concept to completion. You'll work closely with our production teams to create cutting-edge equipment that meets the highest standards of efficiency and reliability. Your responsibilities will include:
" Manage a small team of Engineers and projects.
" Developing detailed mechanical designs using CAD software.
" Performing calculations and simulations to ensure structural integrity and performance.
" Creating and maintaining technical documentation, including blueprints and specifications.
" Collaborating with vendors and suppliers to select and integrate components.
" Specification of motor hp, gearbox torque, bearings and shafts for various applications.
Summary:
A Mechanical Engineer Manager with 10-plus years of experience along with both technical and mechanical expertise and leadership skills. The ability to lead and coordinate process optimization, machine designing and engineering documentation. Be able to manage a small team of mechanical engineers including responsibility of resource allocation, performance reviews, vendor selection, and cross-departmental collaboration. The Engineer Manager will manage the design, development, and production of mechanical systems and ensure projects meet quality, budget, and timeline goals.
Key Responsibilities:
" Team Leadership and Management: Supervise mechanical engineers and technical staff, assign tasks, mentor team members, and ensure proper staffing, training, and resource allocation.
" Project Oversight: Manage engineering projects from concept to completion, including design, development, testing, and production of mechanical systems and components such as machines, and tools.
" Technical Direction: Provide guidance on design, analysis, and testing of mechanical components, utilizing CAD software and other modeling tools to improve performance, reliability, and safety.
" Strategic Planning: Collaborate with executives and other managers to identify new product opportunities, develop long-term strategies, and implement policies that support organizational goals.
" Cross-Department Collaboration: Work with other departments to coordinate projects, identify potential products, and ensure alignment with company objectives.
" Compliance and Safety: Ensure adherence to industry standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements throughout all engineering activities.
Required Qualifications
" Education: Bachelor's/Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
" Experience: 10+ years of experience as a mechanical engineer with 1 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
" Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software, mechanical design, testing, and analysis; knowledge of manufacturing processes and mechanical systems
