The Transmission Mechanical Engineering Co-op will support staff mechanical design engineers on transmission and gearbox development programs. With each subsequent work term, the co-op student will take on increasingly complex tasks as their familiarity with the products, tools, and processes expands in addition to knowledge gained through coursework. The Transmission Mechanical Engineering Co-op will assist with design, integration, and test of mechanical systems such as transmissions and gearboxes for military ground vehicles including tanks, self propelled artillery, and infanty fighting vehicles. Projects may include any stage of the product development cycle including research, design, modeling & analysis, prototyping, and testing (bench, dyno, or vehicle). The Transmission Mechanical Engineering Co-op will work under close supervision of a Mentor. Rotational assignments in other departments or for other disciplines are not included at this time.
