Junior-level Mechanical Engineer position available in south-central Pennsylvania.
Summary:
The Mechanical Engineer will support engineering, product development, and manufacturing initiatives by designing, analyzing, documenting, and supporting the manufacture of mechanical systems and components.
Job Duties:
- Perform engineering assignments under the direction of engineering management and senior engineering staff.
Design new products and support product improvements, revisions, and cost-reduction initiatives.
Create detailed manufacturing drawings, assemblies, and bills of materials (BOMs).
Design and document production fixtures, tooling, and manufacturing support equipment.
Utilize CAD software to develop 3D models, assemblies, and engineering drawings.
Prepare concept sketches, layouts, prototypes, and technical documentation as required.
Participate in design reviews, engineering evaluations, and continuous improvement activities.
Assist with engineering analysis, including finite element analysis (FEA), tolerance studies, and system optimization.
Support product testing, troubleshooting, validation, and implementation efforts.
Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, purchasing, and other departments to ensure project success.
Communicate project status, technical information, and recommendations to management and team members.
Ensure designs comply with applicable industry standards, customer requirements, and company procedures
Required
Bachelors degree in engineering (BSME, BSMET, BSEMET, or related engineering discipline).
0-2 years of mechanical engineering experience, including recent graduates.
General knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, design practices, and manufacturing
processes.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred
Experience with 3D CAD software such as Creo, SolidWorks, or Autodesk Inventor.
Experience with AutoCAD or other 2D drafting software.
Exposure to finite element analysis (FEA) tools and engineering calculations.
Experience in a manufacturing environment.
Hands-on mechanical aptitude, including assembly, fabrication, troubleshooting, or equipment maintenance.
Experience designing machinery, industrial equipment, or custom-engineered products
Pay: $32-$35/hr.
