As a Stress and Dynamics Analyst, you will be responsible for performing preliminary and detailed level analysis of spacecraft flight structures and mechanisms, electronic components, and ground and test support equipment using standardized methods, and perorm dynamic analysis of Spacecraft structures to support component environment definition, acoustic analysis, response dynamics, and coupled loads analysis and support vibration testing of component, subsystem and vehicle level tests.

Researches, plans, designs and develops mechanical products and systems such as instruments, controls, robots, engines, machines and mechanical, thermal hydraulic or heat transfer systems for production, transmission, measurement, and use of energy. Applies research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and/or machines.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor''s degree in Engineering or related field, or combination of education and relevant experience
• Experience with NX (Simcenter)/NASTRAN finite element modeling or equivalent
• Knowledge of and applicable experience with spacecraft or aircraft structural analysis methods, including classical hand calculations and experience with mechanical joints
• Ability to apply new and advanced analytical techniques necessary to perform structural analysis
• Knowledge of structural characteristics and the ability to generate free body diagrams detailing load paths through complex systems
• Experience performing dynamic response, random vibration and coupled loads analysis.
• US citizenship is required

• Experience designing and/or analyzing aluminum honeycomb and laminate composite structures
• Ability to work in a collaborative and highly integrated team environment
• Ability and desire to assume ownership of tasks and drive to closure quickly and efficiently
• Non-linear, fracture& fatigue, and buckling analysis experience
• Mechanisms, antenna, electronic component, ground support, hoisting, and test support equipment, and composite materials analysis experience
• Experience with Abaqus, Matlab, Mathcad, CREO and TeamCenter
• Academic coursework in advanced mechanics of materials
• Dynamic analysis and vibration test experience of components and space vehicle structures (Sine, Random Vibration, Acoustic) and CLA
• Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $95900.00 - $178100.00

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
