    Job Summary:

    We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer (SR 1) to lead mechanical engineering design activities for small to medium-sized retrofit, environmental, and new power generation projects. The ideal candidate brings over 10 years of relevant experience in power or heavy industrial facilities and can independently manage technical responsibilities, mentor design staff, and support project execution through all phases.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead mechanical engineering design on power and industrial projects

    • Perform pipe sizing, routing, material selection, valve selection, and hydraulic calculations

    • Develop project scopes, schedules, budgets, and technical deliverables

    • Create and review P&IDs, equipment layouts, and technical specifications

    • Prepare datasheets for pumps, valves, and balance-of-plant equipment

    • Provide direction and oversight to mechanical designers and drafting teams

    • Interface with project managers, engineering teams, and vendors to ensure accurate and efficient designs

    • Support system checkout and commissioning activities as needed

    • Make sound technical decisions with limited input, using engineering judgment and industry best practices

    Required Skills and Qualifications:

    • 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience in power generation or heavy industrial facilities

    • Proven experience leading detailed mechanical design efforts

    • Expertise in piping systems: sizing, routing, support design, and materials

    • Proficient with applicable engineering codes, standards, and regulatory requirements

    • Proficiency in preparing and checking P&IDs, layouts, equipment specifications

    • Knowledge of mechanical process equipment including valves, pumps, heat exchangers, and vessels

    • Experience with hydraulic system design and calculations

    • Pipe-Flo or equivalent hydraulic analysis software experience preferred

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills

    • Ability to build collaborative relationships with plant personnel, engineering teams, and vendors
