Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer for an exciting opportunity with an established engineering firm in the Salisbury, Maryland area.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in mechanical engineering, particularly HVAC and building systems design. This individual will work alongside a multidisciplinary team of engineers and design professionals to develop high-quality engineering solutions for a variety of projects.

-Design and develop mechanical systems for commercial, institutional, industrial, and other building projects.
-Design HVAC systems, including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and associated equipment.
-Perform heating and cooling load calculations, equipment sizing, and system selections.
-Prepare mechanical construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
-Coordinate mechanical designs with electrical, plumbing, structural, and architectural disciplines.
-Review construction documents, shop drawings, and equipment submittals.
-Conduct site visits and assist with construction administration as needed.
-Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes, mechanical codes, energy codes, and industry standards.
-Work with project managers, clients, and other design professionals to meet project schedules and expectations.
-Assist with evaluating existing mechanical systems and developing recommendations for improvements.
Requirements:
-Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
-Experience with HVAC design and building mechanical systems preferred.
-EIT certification preferred; PE license is a plus.
-Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Revit preferred.
-Knowledge of applicable mechanical, building, and energy codes.
-Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
