Job Overview
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 7+ years of relevant experience in storage tank design within the oil & gas industry. The role focuses on storage tank design, process engineering, international codes and standards, and technical support for industrial projects.
Key Responsibilities
Design and support storage tanks and related process systems.
Work with API 620 and API 650 standards.
Support refrigerated and cryogenic storage tank design.
Work with tank foundation and thermal stress considerations.
Apply international engineering codes and standards.
Support process design activities for storage tanks.
Perform process simulations using Aspen HYSYS and AFT Fathom.
Work with API and ASME codes and standards.
Support safety studies including HAZOP and SIL.
Analyze technical data and develop engineering solutions.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary and multinational engineering teams.
Communicate technical information effectively with project stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering field.
7+ years of relevant experience in the oil & gas industry.
Experience with storage tank design and process engineering.
Experience with API 620 and API 650, refrigerated tank design, tank foundations, thermal stress effects, or Eurocode standards.
Experience with Aspen HYSYS and/or AFT Fathom.
Knowledge of API and ASME codes, including B31.1, B31.2, B31.3, ASME Section I, and Section VIII.
Experience with HAZOP and SIL studies.
Oil & gas, refinery, cryogenic storage, carbon capture, or green hydrogen experience is preferred.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Professional and proactive approach with strong attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
