The Engineer shall be working in challenging job situations within a multi-disciplined engineering group who are responsible for the regional engineering support for OneSubsea’s Services Project Management and Field organizations.


The Engineer is responsible for assisting in providing innovative and cost-effective solutions requiring the development or sustaining of new or improved techniques, procedures or products. The Engineer also assist in planning, conducting and evaluating approaches to meeting the project objectives in a timely fashion


Role & Responsibilities


+ Conduct work safely and ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and facility work instructions. Proactively participate in HSE standard and initiatives

+ Assist in identifying and organizing requirements. Apply relevant usability procedures and principles.

+ Analyze, design, develop, maintain products and assist in their commercialization. This may include engagement with standard product or solutions of a bespoke nature

+ Engineer products and systems suitable for testing. Design and implement tests, document results and develop customer presentations.

+ Provide timely corrective actions on defects and product quality issues

+ Provide timely technical support to Plant & offshore Engineering or Field Service personnel.

+ Produce analyses and mathematical models and draw design conclusions based on those.

+ Conduct or participate in technical reviews of requirements, specifications, designs, code risk assessments and other artifacts. Contribute to design standards and support design re-use.

+ Create and maintain product documentation. Provide support to field and customers through InTouch. Provide user training as required. This may include participating in Weekly On-Call Roster

+ Assign, direct and review work of technicians and provide guidance to engineers. With seniority, mentor junior engineers.

+ Continually evaluate engineering approaches and risks.

+ Author technical reports, papers, articles, patents and presentations. Share expertise via Eureka and special interest groups. Expand informal network throughout the organization.

+ Keep abreast of novel technical concepts and markets. Adopt new practices readily to develop innovative and low-cost products.

+ Maintain familiarity with company technology, organization and business.

+ Works with minimal supervision and shall prioritize own work whilst being capable of supporting multiple projects/scopes of work.

+ Capable of providing mentoring/coaching to subordinate/less experienced team members on an informal and casual basis

+ Must be willing and able to fulfill business travel requirements to other OneSubsea locations and offshore

+ Participating and Completing all HSE Training and certification requirements for the role, notably for field location work including offshore visits


Preferred Skills


10 years design, build, manufacture and/ or operational knowledge of mechanical control system based equipment (IWOCS, LARS, subsea hydraulic distribution, SCM).


Familiarity with subsea XTs and XT tooling is also desirable


Effective verbal and written skills for use with internal and external customers


Requires knowledge of industry standards API 6A, API 53D, API 17F, API 17G


Ability to clearly explain, present and reason technical solutions and offerings


Ability to attend design reviews and act as lead engineer


Ability to write testing procedures


Ability to provide technical and commercial support to bids and quotations.


Qualification and Education Requirements


Bachelor Engineering degree qualification in Mechanical discipline


Full clean US driving license
