You will collaborate with other SpecSys engineering disciplines and manufacturing along with project managers to ensure the On Time - On Budget - Done Right - Done Safely aspects of the project assigned.What does the Mechanical Engineer do for SpecSys? They:Overall project responsibility including:Verify the design meets performance and configuration specificationsContract management to verify the project is completed on time and on budgetCustomer management to understand expectations and standardsProviding work instructions for designers and draftersCoordinating resources of project teamsDeveloping and updating project timelinesDeveloping design concepts to perform project function and facilitate reviews.Developing scope of work projectionsPerforming engineering calculations to verify compliance with design requirementsProviding technical data to the client, designers, and draftersOverseeing and/or performing FEA analysis to verify structural integrityDirect preparation of FEA reports for the customerPreparing project review booklets and present to the customerSpecifying and sourcing purchase components to be usedSpecifying materials to be used in designWorking on multiple CAD packagesReviewing CAD models for completeness, interferences, and manufacturabilityReviewing detail drawings for completeness, accuracy, and client standardsReviewing and update model and drawing tolerancesGenerating and reviewingBill of Materials for completenessUpdating and tracking action / issue itemsHow would we define a good candidate?
