    Description

    Mechanical Engineer

    Nesco Resource is partnering with a manufacturing equipment company to identify a Mechanical Engineer.

    This opportunity is a good fit for someone interested in developing their mechanical design and manufacturing experience while working alongside senior engineers. During the first year, the role will primarily focus on engineering support, documentation, engineering change requests, and light design work.

    What you'll do

    • Assist with designing, developing, and testing mechanical components, equipment, and machinery.
    • Create and update engineering drawings using SolidWorks and manage documentation through EPDM.
    • Prepare engineering change requests and maintain accurate design and process documentation.
    • Support design reviews focused on manufacturability, cost, reliability, and safety.
    • Create and modify parts and assemblies within an ERP system to support purchasing and production.
    • Assist with custom tooling design and modifications, including molds and dies.
    • Support process development and production activities under the guidance of senior engineers.
    • Help customers with technical questions, project coordination, installation, and equipment operation as needed.

    What we're looking for

    • A bachelor's degree, one to two years of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Ability to apply mechanical engineering principles and mathematical concepts to technical problems.
    • Ability to read and interpret technical information and communicate findings clearly.
    • Strong attention to detail when preparing drawings, documentation, and engineering changes.
    • Ability to collaborate with engineers, production teams, and customers.

    Tools you'll use

    • SolidWorks for mechanical design and drawings.
    • EPDM for engineering document management.
    • M1 ERP for parts and assembly records.
