    Description

    Needed immediately:  Mechanical Engineer (HVAC) in Houston, TX. 

    Required:


    • B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
    * Minimum 2years' experience
    • Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (F.E.) examination
    • Certified by the State of Texas as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) (or reciprocal from another state) - if no EIT yet, as long as you are in process to take it is fine
    • Exceptional attention to detail
    • Ability to manage multiple projects under strict deadlines
    • Ability to work well on a team
    • Exceptional written and verbal skills
    • Knowledge of and experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite - Revit is especially highly desirable
    • Knowledge of building codes
    • Previous experience in a MEP consulting environment
    • Experience in the design of HVAC systems, temperature controls, central plant design, and indoor air quality, as well as other mechanical systems for commercial buildings

    Job details:   
    • Perform engineering calculations and apply engineering principles to assist in the successful design, creation, and delivery of all mechanical AutoCAD and Revit drawings for each client project with minimal supervision
    • Write, edit, and produce the accompanying specifications for each client project with minimal supervision
    • Review and approve shop drawings, RFIs, submittals, addendums, and other construction documents as assigned for mechanical-related items with minimal supervision
    • Conduct field work and complete field reports on mechanical-related items to verify design with minimal supervision
    • Excellent knowledge of all required building codes
    • Excellent knowledge of the company's design standards and processes
    • Excellent knowledge of client design standards
    • Proficient in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems (HVAC)
    • Ability to design and manage medium to large projects (i.e. middle schools, high schools) from 
    start to finish with minimal supervision
    • Ability to manage and transfer knowledge to teammates
    • Excellent knowledge of the company's mission and vision; business leadership roles
    • Strong knowledge of client mission and goals
    • Ability to translate technical expertise and soft skills into business development goals
    • Adaptable and open to learning new technologies and methodologies to stay in the forefront 
    of mechanical engineering advancements
    • Participate and/or lead client meetings as assigned
    • Participate in career development training as assigned by supervisor or Human Resources
