MECHANICAL ENGINEER

(HVAC and Plumbing Design) MEP

General Description:

MaGrann Associates is looking for an entry-mid level MEP Design Engineer to provide detailed mechanical, plumbing and fire protection engineering design.  Candidate must be able to perform all technical functions associated with MEP design, including load calculations, layout, sizing and system integration.  The position reports to the Engineering Services Manager.

Principal Duties:

• MEP design of high-performance buildings with a focus on multi-family residential

• Engineering consulting assistance to clients

• Mechanical equipment selection, system design and layout

• Plumbing equipment selection, system design and layout

Qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field

• Experience in residential construction

• Experience with building energy efficiency and building science

• Experience in design of HVAC and Plumbing Systems

• EIT preferred

• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit preferred

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Proficient in the use of energy modeling tools
