Excitingand highly rewarding opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Engineer with a focus on manufacturing and heavy Industrial projects looking to join the team in Duluth! This is a hybrid position.
Responsibilities:
- Lead mechanical design for industrialfacilities (mining and production operations)
- Serve as technical leader on projectsfrom start to finish
- Build/maintain client relationships
- Design/oversee systems (Industrialventilation/dust collection, process piping, pumping, and plumbing, and balance-of-plant/materialhandling support systems)
- Scope project requirements, verifycalculations, and validate equipment selection
- Prepare/review drawings,specifications, and technical reports
- Coordinate with other teams
- Mentor/train junior staff
- Support construction administration/sitevisits as needed
- Assist with project coordination,client interactions, and/or proposals
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
- PE License
- 6+ years of mechanical designexperience in heavy industrial or mining environments
- Experience leading design efforts andmentoring junior engineers
- Experience leading technical designefforts across disciplines
- Previous design experience in miningor industrial facilities
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, RevitMEP, and/or Plant 3D preferred
