Resonant Sciences LLC has an immediate opening for a Mechanical Engineer to join our Dayton, Ohio team. The position provides an opportunity to join a fast-paced elite team whose primary mission is to support our Nation's War Fighters. The candidate for this position shall be a self-starter who can work independently, unsupervised, and with little guidance. The candidate will have an opportunity to be a member of a world-class team consisting of talented and dedicated engineers, technicians, and professionals who work together to interrupt and challenge the status quo to design and develop state-of-the-art technologies.

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Mechanical Engineer candidate will join a multi-discipline engineering team that supports hardware development. We are seeking engineers with education and experience to work in a fast-paced environment developing, building, and testing radomes, antennas, test fixtures, and electronic systems.

The selected Mechanical Engineer will have responsibility for and should have expertise in the following areas:

Development, test, and validation of mechanical designs.

Creation and/or modification of primary and secondary structures with 3-D models, assemblies, and installations.
Familiar with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Knowledgeable of materials testing and characterization methods.
Perform requirements definition, conceptual design, preliminary / layout, and detail design, drawing release, design review presentations, and fabrication support.
Analyze design risks, anticipate and mitigate risks when possible, and report concerns to the supervisor.
Work efficiently in an environment without the need for regular, direct oversight.
Perform other duties, as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

BS with 2 years of experience or Advanced Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering.
Experience with metallic and composite design.
Experience in mechanical design specifically aerospace manufacturing.
Experience with CATIA, Solidworks, Pro Engineer, Creo, Unigraphics, NX, or equivalent 3-D Computer Aided Design (CAD) tool.
Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) software, including pre-processing of models and post-processing of results, is desired.
Writing and communication skills with experience contributing to and/or making technical presentations to internal and external customers.

CITIZENSHIP/SECURITY CLEARANCE:

U.S. Citizenship required. Must be eligible to obtain and/or maintain a Secret security clearance. Active clearance is preferred.
