Mechanical Engineer

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree Mechanical Engineering
• 7-10  years of Manufacturing supporting sustaining manufacturing and production teams 
• SolidWorks to create and experience maintaining 3D parts, assemblies, and detailed drawings  
• Experience with  APQP/ Phase Gates: (Apply DFMEA, PFMEA, Design Reviews, Test plans)
• Experience with: Plastics, machined components, Electromechanical assemblies, IP Sealing concepts
• Ensure all required deliverables are completed despite compressed timelines.
• Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt a plus)
• Spanish and or Japanese  is a plus 

Responsibilities: 

• Lead variance studies with close collaboration with industrial and with manufacturing team
• Update all designs including: Design for Manufacturability (DFM/DFA), Design for Cost, and Design for 
• Plan and support testing to validate design changes, including functional, environmental, durability, and reliability testing
• Review legacy designs and assemblies to reduce cost, improve quality, increase robustness, and simplify manufacturing and assembly.
