Conceptualize and implement Design for Manufacturability (DFM) / Testing (DFT) / Assembly (DFA) and Full Turnkey solutions.

BlackRock Resources is seeking candidates for a Mechanical Engineering role with our client in Canonsburg, PA. This position provides electrical and mechanical engineering support for the commercialization, application, and customization of products.

This is a direct hire opportunity with a hybrid work schedule.

Job responsibilities:

• Conceptualize and implement Design for Manufacturability (DFM) / Testing (DFT) / Assembly (DFA) and Full Turnkey solutions.
• Support the engineering team tasked with the commercialization and launch of Starline-designed products.
• Perform engineering design tasks.
• Create technical documentation such as drawings, design instructions, purchasing specifications, O&M Manuals, installation instructions, work instructions, and product catalogs.
• Conduct required testing, verify product performance, system integration, and compliance with applicable standards.
• Partner with Production, Quality, and Purchasing staff to assure that products are manufacturable.
• Support the automation of design tasks.
• Provide guidance to drafters to support project goals.
• Review and check the work of others, including drafters and engineers.
• Provide jobsite support.
• Collaborate with certification laboratories such as VDE, as well as various international agencies. Provide laboratory testing support.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in the engineering field.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required up to 10%.
