Join one of the top Mining and Construction Machinery manufacturing company as Mechanical Engineer to support manufacturing or assembly processes.

Position: Entry Level - Mechanical Engineer

Location: Decatur, Illinois

Duration: 12 Months of contract with high possibility of extension

Role:

• Very hands-on exposure to large mining equipment.
• Unique opportunity to help make improvements in both product and process.
• Interactions with both manufacturing / facility teams, and engineering teams at both the product and sub-system level.
• Direct impact on quality of product delivered to customer.

Typical tasks:

• Candidate will be responding to issues on the shop floor. Most time is spent addressing AQE's that are assigned to engineering and responding to any questions/issues directly from the shop (section managers, auditors, assemblers, and the manufacturing, quality, and supplier quality engineers).
• Will communicate and collaborate often with the design teams through email and Teams chat/calls/meetings to resolve design issues.
• Time spent on shop floor and desk varies depending on need. Will partake in weekly AQE, BIQ, and warranty review meetings.

Education & Experience Required:

• Years of experience: 0 -2 years
• Degree requirement: BS in a manufacturing or Mechanical or engineering discipline
• Master's degree will be considered over-qualified
