Job Title - Mechanical Drafter 1
Location -Pontiac, IL (On-Site Full Time)
Schedule -7am-3pm
Duration-12 months

Position s Contributions to Work Group:
-Drafting and modelling tooling, tool layouts, and fixture drawings for newly purchased machines and processes
-Expand on capabilities of tool design drafting by supporting tool design engineering with drawings and modelling
-Support Manufacturing Engineers in the validation and development of technical documentation related to new machine aquisitions

Typical task breakdown:
-Convert supplier drawings to Caterpillar standards
-Discuss priorities with manager
-Assist Manufacturing Engineers with layouts

Interaction with team:
-Professional interaction with the team is expected and required daily.
Team Structure
-The team is comprised mostly of Manufacturing Engineers reporting to the same manager you will report to.

Work environment:
-Professional office environment. Business casual required. Will be required to access the factory floor on occasion.

-Years of experience: High school plus 1+ years of similar experience

-Ability to read and interpret a technical drawing
