    How You’ll Contribute

    • Own design packages by interpreting SOWs, ESRs, calculations, placement sketches, construction notes, controls component specifications/locations, and internals order forms.
    • Respond quickly and accurately to stakeholder questions.
    • Work hand-in-hand with Project Engineers and manufacturing teams to meet customer objectives.
    • Create 3D parts, assemblies, and layouts in Autodesk Inventor; deliver GAs, fabrication drawings, BOMs, and prototype designs.
    • Apply quality-review feedback and correct existing drawings to maintain accuracy.
    • Select the best path for each drawing—client-specific template, standard template, or edits to an existing CAD file.
    • Review peer drawings to ensure scope alignment and compliance with corporate drafting standards.
    • Take on related tasks as assigned.

    What It Takes

    • Associate degree in Drafting or CAD Technology with 3–5 years’ experience; or equivalent background sufficient to perform the role (8 years in a mechanical engineering field may substitute for a degree).
    • Autodesk Inventor proficiency is required.
    • Prior exposure to engineering design is beneficial.
    • Basic understanding of controls and instrumentation with the ability to move concepts through design.
    • Familiarity with welding processes, callouts, and applications.

    Concentrated mental and/or visual attention. The work involves performing complex tasks to very close accuracy and quality specifications, or a high degree of hand and eye coordination for sustained periods.

    The job is typically performed under comfortable working conditions; any disagreeable elements are generally absent during normal performance of job. Visits to our manufacturing facility and suppliers’ facilities is required to monitor active projects and address design issues.

    Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
