This is a hands-on position where your 3D design expertise will contribute to cutting-edge propulsion technology. If you thrive in a fast-paced engineering environment and take pride in precision, ownership, and technical excellence, this is an opportunity to make a measurable impact.Key Responsibilities:* Develop fully defined 3D models, assemblies, and detailed manufacturing drawings for aircraft engine test hardware in compliance with industry standards.* Support the full design lifecycle - from concept development and trade studies through detailed design, development testing, and qualification.* Ensure proper form, fit, and function of components and assemblies; verify compliance with ASME standards and internal design review processes.* Perform tolerance stack-up analyses (ASME Y14.5-2009) and engineering calculations including structural, vibration, thermal, and flow assessments.* Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve design challenges, manage scope updates, and document technical decisions.* Prepare complete design documentation packages, including specifications, BOMs, change orders, and technical transmittals.* Generate technical documentation supporting the development and testing of flight hardware.* Work within a multidisciplinary team environment to deliver high-quality solutions on schedule and within budget.Required Qualifications:* AS or BS in Engineering or relevant discipline* Proficiency in 3D CAD design; Siemens NX strongly preferred (CATIA, Creo, or SolidWorks experience also considered).* Strong working knowledge of GD&T per ASME Y14.5-2009.* Experience performing tolerance stack-ups and supporting mechanical design validation.* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.* Strong written and verbal communication skills.* U.S. Citizenship required due to the nature of the work.Preferred Qualifications:* Experience designing mechanical systems in aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated industries.* Familiarity with gas turbine engines, turbomachinery, or engine test hardware.* Experience with Model-Based Definition (MBD).* End-to-end design experience from concept through production for complex mechanical systems.Belcan provides a competitive pay and benefits package.
