    Mechanical Designer II

    Location: Indidnapolis, IN
    Salary Range: $80,00 - $95,000
    Position Type: Full-Time | In-Office (Open Office Setting)

    About the Role

    We are seeking a talented and passionate Mechanical Designer II to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a key part in developing innovative and impactful design solutions that improve the lives of our clients. Working closely with project engineers and cross-disciplinary team members, you will help transform concepts into practical, efficient, and user-friendly designs.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Design and draft mechanical and plumbing systems including:

      • Ductwork, piping, sanitary systems, domestic water, medical gas

      • Compressed air, natural gas, and water heating systems

    • Collaborate with engineers to develop and evaluate design concepts.

    • Assess design feasibility with respect to safety, functionality, and serviceability.

    • Create detailed drawings, blueprints, and construction documents using Revit.

    • Coordinate intermittent submissions and collaborate with other disciplines for integrated designs.

    • Conduct field investigations and site visits to ensure project accuracy.

    • Determine optimal routing and sizing of systems for efficiency.

    • Utilize CAD and engineering software to support design work.

    Qualifications

    • Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering (ABET-accredited).

    • Experience: 4+ years as a Mechanical Designer (Healthcare experience required).

    • Licensure: Passed Fundamentals of Engineering Exam (FE) and working toward Professional Engineer (PE) licensure (preferred).

    • Technical Skills:

      • Revit, AutoCAD MEP

      • MS Office Suite

      • Trane TOPSS, Trace 3D

    • Travel: Up to 10%, depending on project needs.
