    Title: Mechanical Design Engineer

    Location: Waukesha, WI 53188 (On-site)

    Job Description

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • Engaging with engineers in all phases of projects, including concept, architecture, documentation, design, prototype, test, supplier interfaces, manufacturing introduction and service support
    • Integration design for MR scan room and equipment room, including magnet side electronic modules layout, magnet bore integration, enclosure integration.
    • Work closely with global platform teams implementing new hardware. Define requirements, review design and integration with COE team.
    • Lead Engineering Changes for the team through proficiency of all change related processes to drive initiatives and achieve change team goals and metrics
    • Work closely with engineers implementing new hardware through NPI programs into the Scan and Equipment Rooms.
    • Work with multiple functions to address supply chain issues and obsolescence for both production and service operations.
    • Provide support and coaching to engineers and others on execution activities related to the Design Change Process
    • Provide leadership and support for MyWorkshop to local system users
    • Gather from Sourcing inventory information for all suppliers of part affected by the ECR.
    • Gather from Manufacturing inventory of all GEHC plants.
    • Develop the PIPO plan for the ECR working directly with Sourcing and suppliers to establish timing of ECR completion and implementation of ECO.
    • Ability to proactively manage cross-functional interdependencies to maximize team efficiency and avoid gaps/delays in mid to long-term execution. Anticipate integration issues and discern appropriate actions to progress the team forward. Connects planning and cross-functional impacts of product NPI, Installed Base, Obsolescence and End-of Life.
    • Help direct and manage work going to and coming back from remote contract workers

    Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

    Required Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines.
    • Minimum 5 years of Engineering experience in Product Design and Development.
    • Mechanical structure design, familiar with sheet metal, machine processes.
    • Experience with enclosure design is preferred, specifically polymer and composite materials design such as FRP, SMC, thermal forming, injection modeling.
    • Experience with mechanical 3D CAD tools, preferably PTC Creo and Windchill
    • Understanding of Cross Functional perspectives and ability to deliver right solutions.
    • Excellent communication and influencing skills.

    Desired Characteristics:

    • Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines.
    • Advanced Experience in PTC Creo 3D CAD and Windchill
    • Experience with global product releases throughout the entire product life cycle desired.
    • Demonstrated ability to deliver results while working on multiple projects simultaneously, balancing timing and quality of outcomes.
    • Excellent teamwork, coordination
    • Demonstrated supplier and manufacturing interface skills.
    • Demonstrated technical leadership capability in integration activities
    • Established project management skills.
    • Self-starter, energizing, results oriented
