    Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer
    Location: Fuquay-Varina, NC -27526
    Duration:24 Months
    1st shift 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM OT hours will be required if requested by Deere.

    Project requires a Security Clearance and candidates must be U.S. Citizens

    Introduction

    Join our innovative team as a Product Engineer in Fuquay-Varina, NC, where you will play a critical role in developing and implementing design solutions to enhance our product line's cost, quality, and performance.

    Required Skills & Qualifications

    • Proficient in 3D CAD and other engineering tools & systems (e.g., Creo, Windchill, SAP, ANSYS)
    • Working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, electro-hydraulic, structural, and powertrain systems
    • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
    • Working knowledge of technical drawings and GD&T
    • Experience taking designs from ideas to full production implementation
    • Experience performing engineering calculations and data analysis
    • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Agricultural, or Electrical Engineering
    • Prior work experience in the client's industry

    Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.

    Preferred Skills & Qualifications

    • Advanced engineering degree
    • Experience with commercial mowing products or parallel industries
    • Experience with gasoline and diesel engines and engine systems
    • Experience with design for manufacturing techniques
    • Knowledge of systems engineering and/or Six Sigma methodologies

    Day-to-Day Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement design solutions to improve cost, quality, and performance of existing products
    • Manage the implementation of multiple moderate scope projects on a common timeline tied to a pre-determined implementation date
    • Identify the root cause of identified issues and develop corrective actions to resolve them
    • Collaborate within a cross-functional team to provide engineering support
