Position Title: HVAC Mechanical Design Engineer
Pay: $30$53/hour (DOE)
Location: Duluth, GA
Position Summary:
We are seeking an HVAC Mechanical Design Engineer to design HVAC systems for commercial building projects. This position will work with a multidisciplinary engineering team on projects primarily involving medical facilities, along with office, retail, restaurant, religious, and educational buildings.
Key Responsibilities:- Design HVAC systems, including ductwork, piping, and equipment
- Perform heating and cooling load calculations
- Size and select HVAC equipment
- Coordinate designs with plumbing, electrical, civil, and architectural teams
- Prepare construction drawings and specifications using Revit and CAD
- Coordinate with clients and equipment vendors
- Review submittals and shop drawings
- Respond to RFIs and manage design revisions
- Conduct construction site reviews as needed
Requirements:- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Proficiency with Revit
- Knowledge of HVAC system design
- Ability to work with multidisciplinary engineering teams
Preferred Qualifications:- 2+ years of HVAC design experience
- Experience designing HVAC systems for commercial buildings
- Experience with medical or healthcare facility projects
