Mechanical Design Engineer

Contract to Direct

We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Engineering Department. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both designing mechanical systems and seeing those designs come to life on the factory floor. You will work closely with engineering, sales, and manufacturing teams to develop and improve equipment and ensure designs meet customer and production requirements.

What You'll Do

• Create and modify 3D mechanical designs using Autodesk Inventor.
• Develop 2D drawings and installation, assembly, manufacturing, and detail drawings using AutoCAD and 3D CAD software.
• Prepare installation and illustration drawings for customer projects.
• Revise and update drawings based on design changes and production requirements.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, and manufacturing to ensure accurate project documentation.
• Work with the manufacturing team to support production and resolve design-related issues.
• Perform stress analysis and FEA on mechanical components and assemblies.
• Help develop practical designs that can be efficiently manufactured, assembled, and installed.
• Follow projects from initial design through production and see your work implemented on the factory floor.
